The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently viewing the Fernie two Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers towards the community.
SASSA is going to be rendering expert services including new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, along with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a press release, the agency stated it truly is alarmed with regards to the high amount of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The goal of your Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to some substantial number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This really is due to lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no fully functional office website focused on service the area daily. The company point developed for intervention encounters a large influx of potential beneficiaries, that makes it complicated for that office to attend to all people who pay a visit to a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise much more resources to help the servicing of all shoppers and maximize entry to Social Assistance companies,” the agency said.
